OFFICIAL POLICIES
Photography
It is our aim to create an ideal setting to hear wonderful music, and by its nature our 'chamber' music can be so soft that the slightest noise is disconcerting, this includes the sound of still and video recording. So, although photographs and video recordings can be a wonderful memento of a splendid occasion, we ask that you refrain from any filming, with or without flash, during our performances. Apart from the intrusion such filming may make into the concert atmosphere, it can distract the singers and compromise their performance. Furthermore, all photographs of the Chamber Chorus are the property of the Board of Directors, and copyright exists on them. Requests to photograph performances may only be considered if prior approval is sought in writing from the Board President (and such requests may be rejected).
Recording
Although it is flattering for us that people often wish to record our concerts, we must ask that this not be done. There are several reasons for our policy:
First, many of the pieces we perform are copyrighted, which means that they remain the property of the publisher, composer or editor. Our performance is licensed through ASCAP, their national organization, to whom we pay a fee. Any recording we may make is for archival purposes, and is not permitted for public distribution. We have, however, compiled several compact discs of live performances, and have paid the appropriate copyright fees; these recordings are available online on our recordings page.
Second, all performances by the Chamber Chorus are the property of the Board of Directors, and copyright exists on them. Requests to record performances may only be considered if prior approval is sought in writing from the Board President (and again, such requests may be rejected).
Third, the uncontrolled use of recording equipment can be disruptive to the performers or to the audience. For all of these reasons, we ask you not to bring tape recorders to our concerts.
Cancellation / Postponement of a Concert
If, in the judgment of the Artistic Director and/or Executive Director, it is not possible to present the program largely as advertised, because of inclement weather, the sudden unavailability of the venue due to circumstances beyond the control of the Chamber Chorus, the illness or indisposition of a significant number of performers, or other circumstances beyond the control of the Chamber Chorus, the program will be postponed first to the following evening, at 7:30 p.m., at the original venue or a reasonable substitution. If this performance, on Monday night, is also not possible, then the Chamber Chorus will further postpone the performance to the following Sunday afternoon, at 3:00 p.m., at the original venue or a reasonable substitution.
Notice of Cancellation
Notice of the cancellation of a performance will be recorded on the Chamber Chorus's telephone message service (636) 458-4343. Where possible, information regarding the revised performance will be posted here on the Chorus's website. The cancellation will also be conveyed to the news media, in particular to radio stations, like KWMU—90.7 FM, and television station KSDK—Channel Five. The Chamber Chorus cannot be held responsible for the failure by any or all of these stations to publicize the cancellation.

Ticket Policy
Tickets are non-refundable. Ticket holders will be offered tickets for the postponed performance, or a credit applicable to a future concert by the Chamber Chorus during the current season (or next season, in the case of the final concert of the season). Ticket holders must be 6 years of age or older.
Copyrighted Material
It is the stated policy of the Board of Directors of the Saint Louis Chamber Chorus to maintain and expand its music library through the purchase of all music scores from official suppliers and publishers. Furthermore, in the event that a score is out of print, it is the stated policy to secure reproduction rights from the relevant copyright holder, if that person/company has no facility to make legal reprints.

Diversity Equity and Inclusion
The Saint Louis Chamber Chorus recognizes that institutional discrimination and other forms of oppression have adversely impacted opportunities for members of diverse races, ethnicities, nationalities, abilities, classes, genders, sexual orientations, and other marginalized groups. We are committed to supporting creative projects that ensure accessibility to all people.
